Joined by friends and family, like-minded Bondfans and famous guest stars of the 53 year Bond history, Lind and his documentary consider the question how James Bond not only influenced or even changed one’s own life but also that of other people. Among others, Bond experts such as Danny Morgenstern, Remmert van Braam, Martijn Mulder and Wolfgang Thürauf shed some light on that. The film is complemented by famous guest appearances of Mads Mikkelsen (“Casino Royale“), Götz Otto (“Tomorrow Never Dies“), Nikki van der Zyl (the “Voice of the Bond Girls“), composer David Arnold, Academy Award winning lyricist Don Black, Béatrice Libert (“Moonraker“), Academy Award winning production designer Sir Ken Adam, actor Derek Lyons as well as actresses Tonia Sotiropoulou (“Skyfall“), Martine Beswick (“From Russia With Love“ & “Thunderball“) and Luciana Paluzzi (“Thunderball“).

TOGETHER FOR UNICEF
It has been my wish from the very beginning, that the documentary shall only be screened for charity purposes. With UNICEF, I have found a strong partner to realise this endeavour. For the time being, the documentary will thus not be commercially available on DVD or Blu-Ray. Everybody who helped me to realize this film project did so because we want to make a much needed contribution to protect the rights of children and help those in need. We, who live in rich economic nations and don´t have to give much thought to where our next meal is coming from, have so much and give so little. Millions of children die every year as a result of malnutrition. The co-operation with UNICEF enables me to do my bit with my film project and support vital aid operations.
BEHIND THE SCENES
Filming began in April 2014 and concluded in October 2015. The documentary was filmed at over 130 individual locations in Germany, France, The Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Austria and the United Kingdom. This not only meant a lot of travelling but also resulted in roughly 40 hours of footage from which the final film was assembled. Among the many locations are places where my story unfolded as well as iconic James Bond filming locations such as Piz Gloria, the Hotel Atlantic Hamburg, Verzasca Dam and many more. The film was shot entirely on a Panasonic Lumix Bridge-camera and the budget was kept very tight. It was far from easy. You are responsible for everything – from the journey to the narration on the spot and finally the editing. At first, the curious looks of people on the street made me really tense and nervous, not to mention the encounters with the stars. Swiss composer Yannick Zenhäusern could be won over for the atmospheric soundtrack of “A Bond For Life“ and he was involved in every process of the making of the film and delivered sensational compositions that expertly accentuate the filmed material and its expressiveness.
